Erin’s New Job

7/11/2017 – Erin J. Poerschke began working for Culture Spark as an intern the summer of 2016 and continued working remotely as she finished her senior year at University of Arkansas.  Erin graduated in May with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Marketing, and starts to work in Austin for Advantage Solutions as a Leadership Development Associate.

Erin contributed tremendously to the company and to the team. When she started the internship, she had just completed a study abroad program in Italy and commented to me on the remarkable old-world craftsman quality she repeatedly encountered there- from arts and crafts to soaps and sweets, she grasped the concept that great quality yields great customer loyalty. I was delighted to see this concept shine through in all of Erin’s work. Through her research she developed a standardized book filled with Team Building Exercises; she conducted company case-study research for and wrote several of our marketing emails; she created the standards for Culture Spark marketing material and training program presentations. She sat through client meetings and manager “rocks” meetings and showed she is very intuitive about people’s character. All the while, she brought joy to everyone she encountered.

As much as I would love to have hired Erin full-time, the big company experience is one I valued in my career greatly before realizing my passion for working with small to mid size entrepreneurial companies. I’m so happy Erin gets to have that experience, and one day it is my hope she will choose to return to mid-market consulting in her career. I am grateful for the impact Erin has on Culture Spark and I look forward to an opportunity to work with this delightful young woman again in the future.

Erin, we all wish you the very best as you enter this next chapter in life. No matter what, we know you will approach it with your personal brand of quality, joy and grace.

Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it.
